I was told to make a page on the Xiph.org Wiki with implementation ideas for issues I had discussed on #theora on Freenode.  Here is the chatlog:

::Sorry, yes, OggUVS looks promising for this application, however I'm a rather amateur coderI will look at CMML and Skeleton as possible metadata formats.  However, if OggUVS mandates a 3-channel colorspace, it's not ideal, as the images being worked with are 10-bit greyscale (640*480*1*10). --[[User:Haifen|Haifen]] 19:18, 9 October 2007 (PDT)

Sorry, yes, OggUVS looks promising for this application, however I'm a rather amateur coder. I will look at CMML and Skeleton as possible metadata formats. However, if OggUVS mandates a 3-channel colorspace, it's not ideal, as the images being worked with are 10-bit greyscale (640*480*1*10). --Haifen 19:18, 9 October 2007 (PDT)
